Prusa Research has introduced the PRO SLX, a new MSLA 3D printer designed specifically for industrial and medical applications. The device offers a variety of features not currently found on other SLA printers and promises a comprehensive solution for precise and safe manufacturing processes.
The PRO SLX supports a wide range of certified resins, including highly viscous and heavily filled materials. Thanks to active chamber heating, even demanding materials can be processed efficiently. In addition to certified resins, the printer is also compatible with third-party resins. An integrated tracking system enables complete monitoring of the production process, including resin volume, washing and curing times. This makes the PRO SLX particularly suitable for environments where compliance with strict manufacturing standards must be demonstrated.
User-friendliness is the focus of the design. A quick-change platform facilitates the handling of print objects, while contactless solvent management increases safety. Solvents can be pumped and stored automatically, minimizing direct contact with chemicals. This is complemented by a two-stage wash function and an integrated pressure spray gun that ensures thorough cleaning.
The PRO SLX also focuses on safety: carbon filters and a locking mechanism prevent contact with potentially hazardous substances. A robust design and protective devices such as thick gloves and transparent covers guarantee additional safety.
Technically, the printer impresses with an XY resolution of 30 micrometers and a print volume of 228 x 128 x 400 mm. It is connected via USB, WLAN or LAN, which enables flexible integration into existing workflows. The PRO SLX ecosystem also offers a washing station (WX) and a curing unit (CX), which ensure seamless post-processing.
