The Putzmeister Group, a German company with decades of experience in concrete pump technology, is expanding its portfolio and investing more heavily in large-format 3D printing for the construction industry. With the launch of the new INSTATIQ brand, the company is pursuing the goal of making 3D-printed concrete solutions suitable for mass production.
The idea behind INSTATIQ is to make construction processes more efficient and sustainable through the use of additive manufacturing. The technology is based on the precise processing of concrete using automated systems. The origins of the new brand go back to the BAUMA 2022 event, where Putzmeister presented the concept under the name KARLOS. The renaming to INSTATIQ is intended to underline the core principles of the brand even more clearly.
One of the new brand’s first products is the mobile 3D concrete printer INSTATIQ P1 (Progress One), which will be officially unveiled at BAUMA 2025. The machine has a 26-meter-long robotic arm that enables precise and flexible printing of load-bearing walls directly on the construction site. The printing process is based on BIM models, which facilitate the automatic implementation of complex structures. This allows construction times to be significantly reduced without compromising on quality.
