Rapid Shape launches new generation 3D printer for the jewellery industry

Heimsheim – With the S+ series Rapid Shape takes the next step towards professional and castable 3D printed parts for the jewellery industry.

Rapid Shape, the German developer and manufacturer of innovative, professional 3D printers specially optimised for jewellery applications; today presents its new generation for the jewellery industry. With the 3D printing systems of the S+ series, Rapid Shape offers highly efficient solutions that set new standards both in the quality of the result and the reproducibility of the printing processes. This makes the new Studio-Line S20+ and S30+ a partner for casting shops, design offices and jewellery manufacturers for the fast and precise production of castable jewellery prototypes. The S90+ standalone or cabinet of the Heavy-Duty Line are suitable for continuous industrial use at maximum speed and automation.

“The new jewellery 3D printers start exactly where the user needs them: we respond to the needs of the industry. Those who want to achieve optimum printing results can do so with the S20+ and S30+ in fine, regular or large versions. Our printers are ideally suited for detailed, filigree and precise surfaces with little post-processing,” says Andreas Schultheiss, Managing Director of Rapid Shape. “We also have a new solution for large-scale production: with our automated part separation module (ASM, patent pending) we are taking another step towards full automation.”

In addition, the Rapid Shape offers new innovations in terms of finishing: Further processing of the Rapid Prototyping parts becomes seamless and even easier. RS wash and RS cure make it possible to clean and cure the printed parts easily and cleanly. The networking of these products with the printer ensures optimum and consistent processes, simplifying the workflow and enabling the gold weights to be more precise and the casting to be perfect. The resulting end product is not only directly castable, but also impresses with its excellent surface finish. This was tested in close cooperation with the experienced partner company Schultheiss.

The new models will be presented for the first time at the International Jewellery Show T.Gold in Vicenza (Italy) from 17th to 22nd January 2020, together with Schultheiss GmbH in pavilion 9 at stand 208.
