The start-up Replique, which specializes in digital manufacturing, has been nominated for the German Founders Award 2025 in the “StartUp” category. The company offers a platform that enables industrial customers to produce spare and component parts on demand through a global network of manufacturing partners—utilizing additive manufacturing processes such as industrial 3D printing.
“We’re currently in an exciting growth phase. Being nominated by the jury of the German Founders Award as one of the most promising start-ups is a strong signal for industrial and tech start-ups shaping this transformation. It shows that our procurement solution is hitting the market at the right time,” says Dr. Max Siebert, co-founder and CEO of Replique.
Replique was founded in 2023 by Dr. Henrike Wonneberger and Dr. Max Siebert as a spin-off from Chemovator, BASF’s corporate incubator. Both founders bring extensive experience from the chemical and manufacturing sectors, especially in materials science. The platform aims to establish an end-to-end digital supply chain, eliminating the need for traditional warehousing. Customers can upload and manage their components through a cloud-based system and have them produced via certified manufacturing partners. These partners cover various technologies, including SLS, MJF, FDM, CNC machining, as well as conventional methods such as casting and injection molding.
A key element is the so-called “digital warehouse,” which allows companies to store spare parts digitally and manufacture them locally when needed. This reduces transport time, lowers inventory costs, and minimizes failure risks. The platform integrates with existing ERP systems and online shops, facilitating the transition from physical to digital inventories.
With over 250 production partners and access to more than 500 materials, Replique primarily targets industrial customers with high demands for flexibility and quality assurance. Clients include MAN, Alstom, Danfoss, and Roche. With a new funding round, the company plans to expand its operations internationally.
The German Founders Award will be presented on September 9, 2025, at the ZDF main studio.
