Rinkak Offers SLS 3D Printing Service Using Wood Like Material

Japanese online 3D marketplace Rinkak now offers a wood like material. The objects printed with Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) technology feature a rough surface with a granular feel and a natural brown wood colour.

Made from thinned wood chips, the fine powder material allows for the creation of wood like objects that cannot be realised with tradition woodworking methods. However, as the material has low water resistance, it is not suitable for products used under wet conditions.

So far we have seen wood like materials for FDM 3D printing, such as colorFabb’s WoodFill or Fillamentum’s Timberfill.

Celebrating the launch of this new material, Rinkak offers 20% discount on all designs regardless of the material.
