Roboze named Partner of Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team for following Seasons

Roboze, a leading company in 3D printing technology with super polymers and composite materials, has been chosen by Yamaha Motor Racing as its technology partner for the 2023, 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Evolution and passion. These are the priorities that have always marked the history of innovation in the motorcycling sector aimed at obtaining maximum performance to achieve the best results. In recent years, the entire sector has pioneered and promoted innovative technological solutions that have dictated the progress of the entire sector worldwide. Among these, additive manufacturing, better known as 3D printing, is increasingly becoming a strategic process for MotoGP development and engineering teams.

As evidence, today’s news is the official partnership between the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team and Roboze, an Italian company that is a world leader in 3D printing technology with super polymers and composite materials for extreme applications. The agreement includes a three-year technology collaboration for the 2023,2024 and 2025 seasons.

“In Roboze we have found an advanced technological partner that we are sure will help us achieve great technical results” says Michele Gadda, Engineering Manager at Yamaha Motor Racing. “Roboze ARGO 500 allows us to produce components in carbon and with materials resistant to very high temperatures. For our technical team it was a real breakthrough. We have already tested and had very satisfactory results. Reducing weights and production times, guaranteeing compliance with test deadlines, give us the opportunity to express the ingenuity and skills of our technicians”.

Roboze technology is based on the combination of advanced mechatronics, industrial automation, and materials science. The supplier’s 3D printers can produce customized finished parts with innovative and lightweight materials capable of replacing metal parts and optimizing the aerodynamics of the bike. Critical elements of success in the MotoGP world where each element contributes to eroding hundredths of a second making the difference for the podium. Nowadays, this technology is used worldwide by severely regulated industries, such as aviation and space, which are accelerating the validation of 3D printing applications with the Roboze ecosystem and, consequently, digitizing their production processes with cost, efficiency, and environmental sustainability advantages.

“The challenge for achieving unprecedented performance is what drives the Roboze team every day to evolve 3D printing technology. Partnerships with innovative players like Yamaha fuel our spirit and enable us to accelerate our insights directly on the field.” says Alessio Lorusso, Founder & CEO of Roboze. “We are ready to mark a further step in 3D printing for the production of motorsport components”.
