Safe post-processing of 3D printed components: ENESKApostprocess at the Formnext 2024

Safe and clean post-processing of 3D printed products is a challenge in many production environments. joke Technology, a European leader in precision machining products, has developed the ENESKApostprocess series, a workstation that addresses precisely this problem. At this year’s Formnext, one of the world’s largest trade fairs for additive manufacturing, joke Technology will be presenting the latest version of this station, the ENESKApostprocess 5.0.

3D printed components can be safely post-processed in closed workspaces with sealed manual inlets. The separate work chamber not only protects against hazardous respirable dusts, but also prevents the risk of dust explosions. Powder and particles often accumulate during processing, which are removed and filtered by a sophisticated extraction system before being safely collected for disposal.

Compared to the previous version, the ENESKApostprocess 5.0 offers a 50 percent larger working area and can now accommodate components weighing up to 250 kilograms. Despite the increase in size, the station only requires a slightly larger footprint. Another new feature is the enlarged main flap made of glass, which can only be opened in a dust-free environment. In addition, an upper opening makes it easier to load larger components with a crane.

In addition to protection against harmful influences, the focus is also on ergonomics. Larger hand inlets and well thought-out operation prevent incorrect posture, which is particularly advantageous for longer work processes. According to joke Technology, the further development of the ENESKApostprocess 5.0 helps to meet the increasing requirements for post-processing in 3D printing production.
