3D printing service provider Sculpteo recently decided to integrate more than 10 new native 3D file formats to their uploading tool. Users have now the option to upload more than 30 different 3D printing file formats.
“Using our service, you can now directly upload from your CAD software to your Sculpteo account without exporting your 3D file as an .stl“, Sculpteo explains. “It saves you time and frustration when dealing with your 3D files.” By moving their service closer to CAD software, Sculpteo wants to help users streamline their 3D printing needs in order to be more efficient when turning designs into reality.
Following file formats have recently been added: CATPART, CATPRODUCT and CGR (Catia), SLDPRT and SLDASM (Solidworks), IGES, IGS, SAT, 3DM (Rhino), PRC, U3D, X_T (Parasolid). A complete list can be found here.
Service provider iMaterialise has recently announced that their customers can upload a total o f 42 file formats, including the new 3MF format.
