3D printing service provider Shapeways adds Black High Definition Acrylate to their extensive list of materials.
The durable material produces 3D printed parts with a very smooth surface and is therefore ideal for small objects featuring fine details such as miniatures or model trains. The smooth surface is also suitable for painting.
Shapeways uses the photo-reactive resin with Direct Light Projection (DLP) technology. Printed objects are then cured in UV light in order to completely solidify.
Black High Definition Acrylate is heat resistant up to 120°C and is printed at 50 micron layer thickness.
