The Spanish company Sicnova has positioned itself as the exclusive distribution partner of UltiMaker in Spain and Portugal. The agreement builds on over ten years of partnership and aims to further improve access to professional desktop 3D printing solutions in the region. For industrial and institutional users, this means a more stable supply of equipment, materials and spare parts, as well as a closer-knit service network.
In addition to strengthening the supply chain, the new cooperation phase will also focus on expanding technical support and direct customer care in strategically important regions such as Catalonia. Sicnova is planning to increase its presence there in order to be able to respond more specifically to industry-specific requirements in the education and manufacturing sectors. According to the company, this should particularly benefit small and medium-sized enterprises and educational institutions that rely on locally available and easy-to-maintain 3D printing systems.
Sicnova is also investing in the expansion of its application engineering teams. The aim is to support companies in the implementation of additive manufacturing processes not only technologically, but also conceptually. The support offered ranges from component validation to integration into existing production and development processes. UltiMaker systems are an established platform for use in prototype construction, production equipment manufacturing and small series production.
With the extended cooperation, Sicnova and UltiMaker are focusing on a reliable sales and service concept that is intended to offer long-term planning security for professional users. The strategic partnership underlines the increasing importance of additive technologies for digital transformation processes in industry, particularly in areas with high innovation pressure and short development cycles.
