SimplyPrint has announced the open beta for the integration of Bambu Lab 3D printers. The Danish company offers a cloud-based platform for managing 3D printers and allows users to remotely control their devices, manage print jobs and collect print statistics. The new integration could be particularly interesting for users who want to operate their Bambu Lab printers independently of their cloud infrastructure.
SimplyPrint connects to Bambu Lab printers via the SimplyPrint Bambu Lab Client, a software that must run on a separate computer. Windows, Mac, Linux and Raspberry Pi are supported. It is important that the client and the 3D printer are on the same network. For stable performance, SimplyPrint recommends a dedicated device to avoid possible performance losses. The minimum system requirements are 2 GB RAM, 4 GB is recommended. The software works particularly well on Linux or Raspberry Pi systems.
SimplyPrint already offers a wide range of functions for managing 3D printers. Users can organize print jobs via the cloud, control multiple printers simultaneously and access a central GCODE library. A special feature is the intelligent filament management, which documents material consumption and warns when filament is running low. The integration with Bambu Lab printers could be an alternative, especially for those users who, following the recent changes to Bambu Lab’s cloud and security architecture, operate their devices in LAN mode and have lost some functions as a result.
SimplyPrint is free to use for up to two printers. For larger setups, there are paid subscriptions starting at USD 5.99 per month. If you want to manage ten printers, you pay USD 39.99 per month.
