Sintavia secures 10 million dollars for expansion of additive manufacturing

The US manufacturer of additively manufactured aerospace components, Sintavia, has received an investment of 10 million US dollars. The capital comes from the newly launched Stifel North Atlantic AM-Forward Fund and will be used to refinance existing machine loans and provide working capital.

The financing round marks the first investment of the fund, which was established in October 2024 and aims to support small and medium-sized companies in the US aerospace industry. In particular, it aims to strengthen additive manufacturing technologies in the domestic supply chain. The exact terms of the investment were not disclosed.

“We are honored and humbled to be the launch investment out of the new Stifel North Atlantic AM-Forward Fund,” said Brian R. Neff, Sintavia’s Founder & CEO. “It is great to see Stifel’s strong commitment to funding profitable, high-growth users of additive technology, and this new fund will certainly have a positive impact across the industry.”

The financing round comes nine months after Sintavia announced a $25 million expansion plan to invest in new production facilities, more powerful industrial 3D printers and enhanced post-processing capabilities. The new facility began operations in January 2025 and is expected to significantly increase the company’s production capacity.

“Sintavia is a fantastic fit for the mission of our Fund and Brian has proven to be a visionary leader for Sintavia, and the additive manufacturing sector more broadly,” said Mark Morrissette, Managing Director of North Atlantic Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stifel. “The entire Sintavia team has done a terrific job since 2015 in building a vertically integrated, all-digital aerospace component supplier that leverages the positive benefits of additive technology, and we look forward to working with Brian in the coming years as a partner.” With the new investment, Mr. Morrissette joins Sintavia’s board of directors.

The Stifel North Atlantic AM-Forward Fund was created to expand additive and advanced manufacturing in the USA. The fund’s management focuses on flexible financing structures tailored to the needs of small companies. Initial investors include Tier 1 defense suppliers seeking to strengthen supply chains in the aerospace sector.
