Sintratec Strengthens Position in Italy through Elmec 3D

Through a new partnership with the Italian company Elmec 3D, the Swiss manufacturer of SLS solutions, Sintratec, reinforces its distribution network in the Mediterranean region. Thereby, Elmec 3D becomes the second representative of the Sintratec technology in Italy.

Elmec 3D is a subsidiary of one of the largest Italian IT groups, Elmec Informatica, and an expert in the field of 3D printing. After almost 50 years in the information technology sector, the company decided to enter the 3D printing market in 2018. As a service provider and reseller of additive manufacturing solutions, Elmec 3D takes care of every aspect of 3D printing – from consulting and training to printing services and the distribution of high-tech 3D printing systems from renowned companies such as HP, Desktop Metal, or 3D Systems.

Innovation, reliability, and sustainability are highly valued at Elmec 3D, and Sintratec shares these core values. With its latest innovation, the Sintratec All-Material Platform, the Swiss SLS company complements Elmec 3D’s product range. First introduced in November 2022, this additive manufacturing solution sets new standards in terms of material diversity, flexibility, and scalability in the field of Selective Laser Sintering (SLS). For Sintratec, this new partnership represents an important expansion of its distribution network and a strengthened presence in the promising Italian market.

Martina Ballerio, 3D Printing BU Manager Elmec 3D: “In pursuing our mission to enable the market for additive manufacturing, we chose to include Sintratec in our portfolio, adding a new technology to our offering, thus expanding the opportunities for our customers. Innovation, continuous research and development and a focus on added value are the cornerstones of our partnership.”

Gabor Koppanyi, head of marketing & sales Sintratec: “We are glad to have found another professional distribution partner for Sintratec in Italy with Elmec. Their innovative spirit, the many years of experience with additive technologies such as HP Multi Jet Fusion or Desktop Metal, and the passion of the employees have completely convinced us.”
