SKZ and Dopak Collaborate on Training and Research in Additive Manufacturing in Poland

Since March 2025, the German Plastics Center SKZ and Polish industry representative Dopak have been collaborating to expand knowledge transfer in the field of plastics technology—particularly in additive manufacturing—in Poland. The partnership aims to broaden the continuing education offerings and strengthen SKZ’s presence in the Polish market. Dopak, a long-established player in plastic processing machinery and injection molding, acts as a liaison between industrial demand and training services.

“Dopak is deeply rooted in the plastics industry and understands the needs of potential customers. Together, we can actively raise awareness of SKZ in Poland and further highlight Dopak’s extensive expertise in the local plastics sector,” said Matthias Ruff, Head of Sales for Education & Research at SKZ.

As part of the cooperation, selected training programs from SKZ—including courses on additive manufacturing—will now be available through Dopak. In addition to traditional in-person seminars at SKZ’s headquarters in Würzburg, Germany, on-site training in Poland and digital formats such as online and web-based courses are also planned. These offerings are tailored to professionals across the entire value chain, from production to executive management. SKZ contributes its long-standing expertise in polymer-based manufacturing technologies, materials development, and process optimization.

“We offer our clients the opportunity to carry out complex research projects that require advanced infrastructure and cutting-edge knowledge. We believe this partnership will allow SKZ to bring its expertise to support the Polish market,” said Andre Steiner, Head of Foreign Trade at Dopak.

“SKZ has been internationally active for years, but we’ve had limited presence in Poland until now. This partnership will change that, and we’re looking forward to it,” added Dr. Benjamin Baudrit, Deputy Managing Director for Education & Research at SKZ.

The collaboration is part of SKZ’s broader international strategy. By expanding its training and research programs, the initiative aims to advance the industrial use of additive manufacturing technologies in the region.
