Slice-Up announces Open Beta Release

Slice-Up, specialists in custom g-code generation for 3d printing, announce an Open Beta Release of the standard solution for Educators. This is a suite of parametric tools that allow for intuitive toolpath design and g-code generation.

Slice-Up is a newborn project offering custom g-code solutions and training for
companies and professionals. The new open Beta is their standard solution for educators,
students and artists who seek to explore tool-path level design using FDM or LDM technologies. The project started in Lecco in September/2021, the new Beta Version has been launched on the 4th of April, 2022

“Our mission is to facilitate the teaching of advanced 3d printing concepts like toolpath design and custom g-code.” said the founder Matteo Berera.

In fact, Slice-Up Beta offers a set of tools that aim at simplifying custom tool-path design. It is completely accessible from your browser, no installation is required. Slice-Up’s set of tools can cover the whole process, going from design to g-code generation on its own, or it can integrate with third party CAD softwares to handle more complex scenarios.
The workflow breaks down the 3d printing process in key aspects such as toolpath, flow-control, and machine instructions. Slice-Up’s modular nature makes it very intuitive, yet flexible and extremely effective.

“Slice-Up lets you focus on those aspects of 3d printing that regular slicers hide by default. This can be very useful when exploring 3d printing as a process, or if you are trying to achieve specific creative outputs, and can teach you a lot” says Matteo.
