SLM Solutions Group announce new Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Operating Officer

SLM Solutions Group AG announced that the Supervisory Board has appointed Charlie Grace as member of the Management Board and Chief Commercial Officer with effect from July 15, 2022.

With this appointment as Chief Commercial Officer, Charlie will oversee SLM’s global commercial activities including commercial strategy, business development and marketing. In addition, he will continue to be the General Manager of SLM in North America, which has been and will continue to be a key geographical market for the Company. SLM Solutions will certainly benefit from Charlie’s vast experience and leadership also from previous senior executive roles at ExOne, Xerox, 3D Systems and EFI.

Since joining SLM Solutions as Chief Sales Officer in February 2021, Charlie proved himself as an extraordinary leader of the company and transformed both the sales organization and the North America region. In addition, under his direction, SLM Solutions renewed its commitment and focus on the customer as well as sharpened its competitive spirit to win new business for its best-in-class end-to-end manufacturing portfolio.

In addition, Gerhard Bierleutgeb will assume the role of SLM Solutions’ new Chief Operating Officer. Gerhard joined SLM Solutions in 2020, and since then has played a key role as Executive Vice President (EVP) of Global Services & Solutions, proving he was an ideal choice for the position. As an ear to the customer, he has listened but most importantly implemented change to ensure customer success.

As COO, Gerhard’s extensive leadership experience and keen operational insight will be invaluable to the continued success of the business.
