SOLIDWORKS Wants to Engage Kids with STEM Using their New Apps

SOLIDWORKS has released a series of apps for kids to get them exited about design and art with Science, Technology, Engineering and Math to pursue careers in these fields.

According to the US Department of Labor, eight out of ten most wanted employees in 2009 were the ones with degrees in STEM fields.

How many of us knew when you were young that design, problem solving, creating things and engineering was an actual thing you could do with your life? We wished we knew that and started earlier, for that reason we created SOLIDWORKS Apps for Kids.

The SOLIDWORKS Apps for Kids represent the different stages of design workflow and allow for kids to learn in a fun and easy way: Capture It, Shape It, Style It, Mech It, Show It and – last but not least – Print It.
