Stratasys brings digital dental solution TrueDent-D to Europe

Stratasys has announced that its TrueDent D-Resin is now available in Europe. As a CE-certified Class I medical device, it meets the regulatory requirements of many European countries and enables the widespread use of the TrueDent digital denture solution. Following its launch in the USA in 2023, the technology will now also enable dental laboratories and clinics in Europe to produce dentures efficiently and to a high standard.

According to a report by iData, the market for dental prostheses in Europe is expected to reach a volume of 2.45 billion US dollars by 2028, which underlines the increasing demand for modern solutions. TrueDent technology relies on a fully digital workflow that allows laboratories to produce personalized dentures with fewer manual steps.

“The TrueDent solution has transformed our denture business,” said Tra’ Chambers, Owner of Express Dental Laboratories, a leading U.S. TrueDent customer. “The streamlined digital workflow and precision allows us to produce up to 225 dental appliances per day while delivering high fidelity, highly aesthetic appliances to our customers. The Stratasys TrueDent offering has elevated the level of care we can provide, saving time and costs for both clinicians and patients.”

An outstanding feature of the solution is the ability to create duplicates at the touch of a button, providing patients with fast replacement dentures. This feature not only contributes to a better patient service, but also helps dental laboratories to scale their workflows without increasing labor costs.

Digital manufacturing is becoming increasingly important in dentistry. In the USA, the proportion of digitally produced prostheses has risen from 5% in 2022 to 11% in 2024. European laboratories are also increasingly integrating digital workflows to meet the growing demands.

“We are thrilled to bring TrueDent-D to Europe,” said Erez Ben Zvi, Vice President of Healthcare at Stratasys. “Our monolithic TrueDent denture solution combines high fidelity, aesthetics, and production scalability, while reducing labor costs and enabling exact reproductions. There is growing excitement across the region for this innovative solution, which not only improves the experience for dental professionals but also elevates the standard of care for patients.”

TrueDent-D further industrializes dental additive manufacturing and opens up new opportunities for both labs and clinics to reduce costs while optimizing patient care.
