Stratasys showcases 3D printing technology for precise textile processing in the fashion industry

3D printer manufacturer Stratasys has introduced the TechStyle Fabric Alignment Station, an innovative technology for the fashion industry. This new development expands the capabilities of the J850 TechStyle 3D printer and aims to increase precision and efficiency in the production of high-quality fashion.

The TechStyle Fabric Alignment Station enables exact alignment of 2D print patterns and 3D designs on textiles. This allows designers to precisely place complex patterns and structures on specific areas of garments, such as pockets or special fabric sections. The technology integrates into existing production processes and is compatible with techniques such as embroidery, laser cutting and silk printing.

One of the main advantages of the new station is the reduction of failed attempts when aligning designs on finished garments. This leads to a reduction in production costs and times. The technology also supports sustainable production methods by minimising material waste.

The TechStyle Fabric Alignment Station offers several key features. It enables improved design accuracy by precisely aligning 2D patterns and 3D designs so that 3D printed elements can be accurately placed. By automating the alignment process, manual adjustments are reduced, saving time and production costs. The solution also minimises material waste and supports environmentally conscious production practices.
