Stratasys Unveils 3D Printed Football

3D printing company Stratasys unveils the probably world’s first 3D printed football, created in one 3D print job.

It was produced on the Objet500 Connex 3 Color Multi-Material 3D Production System and is made out of 3 differen materials: the rubber-like TangoPlus and the rigid materials VeroMagenta and VeroYellow. The texture of a standard football was incorporated into the design, to give it an authentic feel. It also weighs about the same as the weithted warmup balls favored by qauterbacks.
