Reinforce 3D, known for its Continuous Fiber Injection Process (CFIP) technology, and Spring Srl, a service provider specializing in additive manufacturing, have entered into a strategic partnership. The aim is to further develop high-performance materials and manufacturing processes for structural components with improved mechanical properties. Industries such as aerospace, automotive and industrial applications in particular should benefit from the new possibilities.
By combining Reinforce 3D’s CFIP technology with Spring Srl’s experience in additive manufacturing, the aim is to develop reinforced structural components with an optimized balance between weight and mechanical strength. The cooperation focuses on improving the scalability of CFIP technology and facilitating its integration into existing production processes. In addition, new methods for fiber reinforcement are to be developed and material compatibility expanded.
“We are accelerating the industrial adoption of CFIP, enabling groundbreaking advancements in high-strength, lightweight materials”, said Blanca Garro, CEO of Reinforce 3D.
As part of the collaboration, Reinforce 3D and Spring Srl will develop innovative manufacturing processes for fiber-reinforced components. One focus is on the automation and optimization of production processes. Comprehensive FEM and FEA simulations and mechanical validations are planned to ensure the mechanical performance of the manufactured components. The results should help to establish new standards in the production of high-performance composites.
Fabio Gualdo, General Manager of Spring Srl, emphasized the transformative impact of the partnership: “Spring Srl has always been at the forefront of additive manufacturing and technology innovation. The integration of Reinforce 3D’s CFIP equipment allows us to expand our capabilities in composite reinforcement, offering next-generation solutions for demanding engineering applications.”
