In this article, we present four FDM 3D printers that are particularly suitable for beginners and newcomers to the world of 3D printing. Our focus is not on the cheapest models for home use, but on devices that stand out for their user-friendliness.
Very inexpensive 3D printers often prove to be particularly challenging to operate, as they require extensive prior knowledge and experience. However, the 3D printers presented here are not exclusively designed for beginners; they also offer interesting features and possibilities for advanced users and professionals.
Bambu Lab A1
Bambu Lab introduced its first 3D printer on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter in 2022, making it a relatively young company in the industry. Nevertheless, its first 3D printer impressed many customers, and Bambu Lab quickly built a large fan base. Today, the company is one of the leading manufacturers.
And for good reason. The 3D printers impress with easy setup, user-friendly software, and high-quality output. The printer is ready to use within minutes. It also boasts high printing speed, and with Bambu Lab’s AMS system, multi-color prints are possible.
The entry-level models from Bambu are part of the A1 series. The A1 3D printer shown above costs approximately 342 euros without the filament changer. With the AMS-lite system, which enables 3D printing with up to four colors, the device costs approximately 500 euros. There is also a mini version with a smaller build volume, costing around 350 euros with the filament changer.
