This Mechanical Dove Flies For World Peace

Mike Le Page designed a dove that can move it’s wings in a very realistic way.

The dove consists of 29 parts and it took the designer nearly two years in making. This incredible design is printed in one piece and demonstrates the capabilities of SLS 3D printing.

Mike Le Page wrote:

Printing the model in white plastic made “Dove” an obvious name, but I do also like much of the symbolism involved: I do think the world needs more peace, more hope, and more joy.

He also made a video to demonstrate how the dove was designed and to show how it works:

The dove is available at Mike´s Shapeways shop for 90$ or 98€.
