Ulendo Recruits a CEO and is Selected as Presenter at RAPID+TCT Conference

Ulendo, a University of Michigan (U-M) startup that produces software to improve manufacturing capability and quality welcomes Brenda Jones as our new CEO. Ms. Jones has served in key executive positions in enterprise software, SaaS and university-based technology commercialization. Prior to joining Ulendo, she led U-M technology startup Kinetica Labs, Inc. to a successful exit in 2021.

“We look forward to Ms. Jones’ energy and experience as we continue to advance solutions for manufacturing automation.,” said Ulendo Founder Professor Chinedum ‘Chi’ Okwudire.

Brenda and Professor Okwudire, will be attending RAPID+TCT, North America’s most important and largest Additive Manufacturing event, where Chi has been chosen as a speaker.

At the conference being held in Detroit, Michigan May 17-19, 2022, Professor Okwudire will discuss how “smart” technologies being developed at the University of Michigan’s Smart and Sustainable Automation Laboratory improve quality and productivity in Additive Manufacturing. Among other technologies, he will describe SmartScan, an intelligent scanning approach to minimize thermal induced defects in laser powder bed fusion.

“Since we launched in 2018, we have seen increased customer traction with several key Additive Manufacturing partners showing interest in our technology. We will be showcasing our latest commercial partner’s printers at the show,” said Ms. Jones. “We look forward to continuing to add more devices that can benefit from our vibration compensation technology.”
