The manufacturer Uniformation has presented its new GK3 Pro resin 3D printer. With a 16K UHD resolution, automatic systems and smart monitoring, the printer is aimed at demanding users.
One of the innovations is the 385 nm UV light system. Compared to 405 nm, the shorter wavelength enables more precise control over the curing of the resin, minimizing overexposure. The result: finer details and improved printing accuracy. This is supported by a Fresnel collimation lens, which reduces light scattering and ensures even light gradients.
The 16K UHD resolution of the 9.6-inch screen (15120 x 6230 pixels) enables XY pixel sizes of just 14 x 19 μm. In combination with a Z-axis module that uses ball screw spindles and widened linear guides, wobbling is minimized and a micrometer-precise layer height is achieved. This results in smooth surfaces and less visible layer lines.
Another highlight is the automatic resin feed system. The printer detects the fill level in the tray and container, ensuring a continuous supply without manual intervention. Operation has also been optimized: A 90° foldable display ensures more convenient handling, and the integrated camera enables real-time monitoring as well as time-lapse recordings. With the UniFormation Smart app, users can also control their printer on the move, view print data and monitor progress.
The GK3 Pro offers other useful features such as integrated air filtration that reduces resin odors and an anti-UV protective cover that blocks 99% of ambient UV light. With a size of 240 x 118 x 211 mm, the printer is suitable for a wide range of projects. The model can be pre-ordered for around 670 euros.
The company has also presented a smaller printer, the GK3, and a larger printer, the GK3 Ultra.
