At Formnext 2025, the French machine dealer and integrator Multistation plans to put a stronger spotlight on its activities around industrial used equipment for additive manufacturing. In Hall 12.0, Booth B111, the “Multistation Second Life” division will present its offering for the international purchase and sale of used industrial and 3D printing systems.
The focus is on systems for metal and polymer 3D printing, but also on conventional machine tools that are used in additive process chains. The company supports projects from technical assessment through audit and valuation to dismantling, transport logistics, reassembly, commissioning and user training. The aim is to continue using existing machine capacity within established production environments instead of purchasing new systems.
“Formnext is the only trade fair where we can meet, in full confidentiality, both industrial companies from around the world looking to resell their surplus equipment and those seeking to expand their production capacity,” explains Jean-Bertrand Lefebvre, Head of the MULTISTATION SECOND LIFE division. “For many years, we have been offering our clients verified, reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions, ensuring the optimal value of their equipment. Our approach is also part of an environmental and circular economy mindset.”
In addition to economic aspects, Multistation emphasizes the contribution to the circular economy: continued use of machines extends their service life and reduces procurement, transport and disposal. According to the company, this can lower investment costs and accelerate project implementation, since existing systems, including process parameters and peripheral equipment, can be taken over.
At the trade fair, Multistation employees will also be present at the booths of partner companies whose machines the dealer distributes on the French market. For professional visitors, this creates the opportunity to compare new and used solutions for industrial additive manufacturing in a single context and discuss concrete projects.
