AM Ventures expands to Asia with new office in Korea

AM Ventures Holding GmbH (AMV), leading strategic investor in Additive Manufacturing, has set up an office in Busan, Korea, to expand its worldwide technology venturing activities and providing a basis for investment in Asia Pacific.

The independent investor form Munich, Germany has in the last four years established an ecosystem consisting of sustainable strategic investments and a strong partner network to utilize advanced manufacturing technologies, in particular additive manufacturing (industrial 3D printing), for serial production. Well-known investments range from software (3Yourmind), hardware (Sintratec, DyeMansion) and material companies (Elementum 3D) to application startups such as Vectoflow or Conflux Technology.
“AMV is pleased to announce the opening of its new office in Korea serving the Asia-Pacific region, a market which is already demonstrating active AM adoption for serial production and a large growth potential. AMV commits to this dynamic region and the investment opportunities available there.” said AMV’s Chief Venturing Officer Arno Held.

AM Ventures Asia, the liaison office of AMV, has taken an office in Busan, Korea and appointed Simon (Sangmin) Lee as the Regional Director of Asia. Simon has long-term industry experience in Additive Manufacturing within the region upon his previous role as sales manager at EOS GmbH in Korea.
Simon Lee added, “I am delighted to be in charge of Asia for AMV to expand its footprint throughout exciting markets. We see great potential to grow our ecosystem throughout Asia supporting Asian startups in the AM industry in realizing their innovative technologies and business ideas.
