Wematter presents entry-level SLS 3D printer

Swedish 3D printer manufacturer Wematter is known for its industrial SLS solutions. Now the company has announced an entry-level model. Starting at 59,000 euros, the Gravity Essential is 63% lower than the company’s enterprise models.

The Gravity Essential SLS 3D printer system is the perfect entry-level model for a company purchasing its first SLS 3D printer. The affordable price includes everything needed to get started. The system has a significantly higher print volume than other entry-level models, and it is straightforward for users to operate. The system has the following components:

  • The SLS 3D printer Gravity – Essential version. The same printer as Enterprise.
  • The Density powder cleaning station that cleans with high-pressure water.
  • Inertia powder collection unit for material recycling.
  • Deep Space software that enables remote control of the system. The advanced software also makes the whole system user-friendly and practical.

When comparing prices, one needs to be aware that all versions of Gravity are complete systems, the cleanest ones on the market. No comparable SLS 3D printer keeps people and premises free of powder when filling, emptying and cleaning prints.

Upgradable SLS 3D printer

Gravity Essential and Essential+ can easily be upgraded to Gravity Enterprise, which has a larger build volume, compressed air option for the Density cleaning station, a larger material selection, inert atmosphere, higher degree of compaction, higher recyclability of powder, and a print volume of 300x300x300 mm, or 27 liters. Upgrading from Essential or Essential+ to Enterprise is quick and easy. A software update takes place remotely, and Density is equipped with compressed air.

A compact SLS 3D printer with a large print volume

The Essential version has a 150 mm lower height than the Enterprise, and thus a volume of 13.5 liters, which is still more than double what the closest competitors can display. That such a large print volume can fit into such a compact printer as Gravity is unique and is due to the fact that the printer has basically been designed to be handled in an office environment. It can be lifted with a simple pallet loader and easily passes through a standard indoor door.

A CE-marked SLS 3D printer approved for use on regular premises

All models of the Gravity SLS 3D printer system are CE marked and approved for use in normal premises. No three-phase current, no separate ventilation and no special connections are required. A couple of simple power cables to a 220 V socket and an ethernet cable is all that is required.
