UK-based 3D technology company Whispering Gibbon secures a six-figure investment round by Northstar Ventures.
With their goal to be a leading player in the dynamic world of 3D content, Whispering Gibbon has developed the patent pending RenderFab technology. It allows for automatically converting objects optimised for visual display to 3D printable models and is targeted at the gaming industry.
“The investment and support we have received from Northstar Ventures have allowed us to develop a unique platform that will bring user generated merchandise to the gaming market”, said Joe Stevens, CEO and founder of Whispering Gibbon.
The investment will go towards recruiting new team members, product development and the launch of their GrabIt platform, which enables users to 3D print models based on live in-game captures.
