Xact Metal, a company specializing in affordable metal 3D printing solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, has achieved its second-highest revenue from orders to date in the fourth quarter of 2024, while also shipping its 150th metal 3D printer.
“4Q 2024 was our second highest order revenue quarter,” said Juan Mario Gomez, CEO of Xact Metal. “Key to this success has been our application and industry focus which continues to be well received by our customers and has resulted in new and repeat orders from key industry-leading customers. In the tooling industry, for example, we experienced strong reception of our high-performing XM200G metal printer and our recently announced partnership with Uddeholm, a world-leading manufacturer of tool steel for industrial tools. Together we bring our high- performing Xact Metal XM200G metal printer plus their corrosion-resistant Corrax metal powder to help solve challenging applications in injection molding.”
A key driver for the positive response was the XM200G metal printer, which is used particularly in the toolmaking industry. The recent partnership with Uddeholm, a manufacturer of corrosion-resistant tool steel, further emphasizes the application possibilities of the XM200G. In combination with Uddeholm’s Corrax metal powder, this solution enables complex injection molding challenges to be overcome. This partnership demonstrates how the synergy of high-performance technology and specialized materials can create innovative approaches.
In December 2024, the 150th 3D printer was delivered to Zero Tolerance, a growing engineering company in Michigan. The company, which specializes in injection molds, chose the XM200G to expand its production capabilities with precise and efficient technology.
“In December 2024 we also shipped our 150th metal 3D printer, which was delivered to Zero Tolerance, a growing plastic injection mold machine shop located in Clinton Township, Michigan,” said Gomez. “We are excited to see what Steve Michon, the owner, and the team at Zero Tolerance will do with their XM200G metal 3D printer, as they continue to invest in the highest performance machinery and tooling to succeed in the production mold industry.”
Developments at Xact Metal show how affordable metal 3D printers are increasingly decentralizing access to additive manufacturing technology and addressing a wide range of industries. With a clear focus on ease of use and customizable solutions, the company offers a cost-effective alternative to established systems that is specifically tailored to the needs of smaller companies.
