Xilloc integrates four EOS 3D printers

Together with Brightlands Chemelot Campus and with the financial support of the Province of Limburg, a wide range of unique 3D printing services are now available. This investment fits in Xilloc’s ambitious plans for the 3D printing industry. The company is the first to offer industrial 3D printing services in all printable materials: metals, polymers and ceramics.

The Dutch company gained its reputation in the medical sector with the world’s first 3D printed titanium skull implant in 2006 and the first 3D printed full mandible replacement in 2011. Earlier this year, Xilloc introduced a new bone-like 3D printing implant material.

Now, Xilloc launches an industrial business unit with the aim to provide the same high quality 3D printing services necessary for their medical activities, also to companies in other sectors, like aerospace, automotive and tooling. To support this expansion, Xilloc invested in four industrial 3D printers from the renowned German manufacturer EOS, who is the global technology and quality leader for high-end Additive Manufacturing (AM) solutions. Amongst the four machines is the EOS M 400, one of the largest metal machines currently available on the market.

With these impressive additions, Xilloc has established an advanced manufacturing facility, which also includes state-of-art automated milling machines.

“Xilloc takes pride in delivering the highest quality to its customers. Therefore we choose to work with the systems from EOS,” says Maikel Beerens, CEO of Xilloc.

This year Xilloc is celebrating its fourth anniversary. Recently, the company moved to Brightlands Chemelot Campus where it has access to 1600 m²; ample space to accommodate its rapid growth and team expansion. For the campus, this is another important step towards the creation of an Additive Manufacturing ecosystem. Earlier this year, Brightlands Materials Center has been established, including investments in “PhD capacity” for 3D print material technology. The campus is a fast growing hub for 3D printing in the Netherlands and across its borders, with Xilloc as a spearhead.

The company is still looking for passionate personnel to help realize its ambitions!
