The US-based manufacturing marketplace Xometry has launched a mobile version of its Workcenter platform. The app is aimed at suppliers within the company’s partner network and is designed to provide access to orders, production data, and performance metrics directly from a smartphone. The goal is to better integrate small and medium-sized businesses in the fields of 3D printing and custom manufacturing into their digital workflows.

The Workcenter platform was introduced in 2022 and serves as a central interface between suppliers and customers. It offers features for order management, cost estimation, and payment processing. With the mobile app, Xometry extends these capabilities to on-the-go use. Users can, for example, accept new job offers, document production progress, or handle communication with customers and Xometry support in real time. Push notifications inform users about status changes or new orders, while photos and digital signatures can be captured directly in the workflow.

“Xometry’s Workcenter Mobile is changing the game for suppliers in our partner network, who no longer have to step away from the shop floor to keep their businesses moving,” said Vaidy Raghavan, CTO at Xometry. “The app makes the Workcenter platform more accessible and ensures partners can stay on top of high-value opportunities. By giving them seamless access to the information they need – without distractions – we help them run their businesses more efficiently and deliver fast, high-quality service to their customers.”

“The Job Board and Job Management pages are incredibly useful, and the Workcenter Mobile’s clean, fast UI makes it easy to stay on top of everything I need to manage,” said Xometry partner Brian Lahoud, President at Axion Labs.

With the introduction of the Workcenter Mobile App, Xometry is responding to the growing demand for flexible, digitally connected tools in the manufacturing sector. Especially in 3D printing, where short production cycles and precise communication are essential, the mobile extension could significantly simplify information exchange between manufacturers and customers.
