Yamaha and Roboze renew partnership

3D printing is playing an increasingly important role in the production of high-performance components in motorsport. Roboze, a company specializing in additive manufacturing with high-performance polymers and composites, has extended its technical partnership with the Yamaha Factory Racing MotoGP Team for another five years. The aim of the collaboration is to optimize development processes and produce performance-optimized components for racing.

The cooperation between Roboze and Yamaha has been in place for more than two years and has already led to significant progress. The use of additive manufacturing technologies has made it possible to shorten development times and optimize production processes. In particular, the focus is on reducing component weight and making production more flexible.

“Roboze is an outstanding technology partner for our team. Their ability to provide tailored solutions with advanced materials and unique additive technologies has had a direct impact on our on-track performance and internal production processes. We are excited to continue this collaboration for another five years.” said Michele Gadda, Engineering Manager of Yamaha Motor Racing.

Roboze relies on materials with high temperature and chemical resistance that can replace traditional manufacturing methods in many areas. Especially in racing, lightweight, high-strength components are crucial to optimize vehicle performance and durability.

“The extension and enhancement of the technical partnership with Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP is a clear testament to the value our technology brings to the most demanding sectors. We are proud to have been selected by the Yamaha MotoGP team for a five-year agreement. This represents a strong vote of confidence in our capabilities” commented Alessio Lorusso, CEO and Founder of Roboze.

Additive manufacturing has enabled Yamaha MotoGP to further develop the production of critical components and customize the design for specific requirements. The collaboration highlights the growing importance of 3D printing for racing, particularly in areas where weight, stability and rapid customization are critical.
