3D printing specialist ADDiTEC launches a new division with ADDiTEC Racing

3D printing specialist ADDiTEC has announced the formation of ADDiTEC Racing. This initiative marks the company’s foray into the dynamic world of motorsports with active participation in the Porsche GT3 Cup Trophy and other related series in the United States.

At the center of ADDiTEC Racing’s strategy is the integration of advanced additive manufacturing processes into racing. Through the use of parts manufactured using Liquid Metal Jetting (LMJ) and Laser Directed Energy Deposition (LDED), ADDiTEC aims to demonstrate the performance and benefits of its innovative technology on the race track. Live demonstrations of automotive part printing will also be offered at each race, providing insights into the future of automotive manufacturing.

“We believe that ADDiTEC Racing will not only showcase our technological prowess but also serve as a catalyst for accelerating our presence in the automotive sector,” said Brian Matthews, CEO at ADDiTEC. “By competing at the highest level of motorsports and demonstrating the capabilities of our additive manufacturing solutions, we aim to raise awareness and drive adoption of our technology within the industry.”

The decision to enter motorsport reflects a strategic expansion of ADDiTEC’s business areas. With the acquisition of race cars, support trailers, AM systems and the recruitment of first-class drivers, the company is sending a strong signal of its commitment and ambitions in motorsport. The integration of 3D printing technologies into highly competitive racing series could represent a milestone not only for ADDiTEC, but also for the entire automotive industry.
