Craft Health raises USD 1.03 million in its pre-series A round led by Mistletoe Singapore

Craft Health raised S$ 1.42 million (approximately USD 1.03 million) in its pre-series A round led by Mistletoe Singapore. The round is joined by ARKRAY CVC, angel investors Dr Jenny Chen (Founder & CEO of 3DHEALS) and Mr Chang-Hung Tseng.

Patients typically face high pill burdens, especially with today’s greying demographics. This
issue of high pill burden is well positioned to be mitigated through 3D printed technology,
where Craft Health is developing 3D printed polypills.

Craft Health has been focused on developing the Craft Health 3D Printing Platform in the last 2 years, with core technologies developed in 3D printers for pharmaceuticals & nutraceuticals, 3D printing software and 3D printable materials with controlled release profiles. The new financing will enable Craft Health to prepare for South-East Asia’s first clinical trial on 3D printed pharmaceuticals and to further commercialize its 3D printing platform. Craft Health is also in advanced discussions with several nutraceutical companies exploring 3D printed nutrition & supplementation.

“Craft Health has been striving to provide transformational innovations for oral medication and supplements. At first glance, it may be seen as just printing pills with 3D printers, but what set them apart is the personalized formulations and novel controlled release technologies for various active ingredients. Craft Health would transform the industry fundamentally into informatics, demand-driven manufacturing, and lean supply chains. I am so thrilled about the future of Craft Health and the potential industry transformation.” commented Mr Atsushi Taira, Managing Director of Mistletoe Singapore Pte. Ltd.

ARKRAY CVC also added that “We believe 3D printed drugs have big potential to grow in the area of personalized medicine, and we are glad to be supporting Craft Health on this journey”.
