Lithoz has become a member of the Manufacturing Technology Center (MTC)

Ceramic 3D printing specialist Lithoz has recently joined the Manufacturing Technology Center (MTC). The aim of the membership is to advance the additive manufacturing of ceramic components for various industry sectors in the UK.

The collaboration will see the MTC expand its additive manufacturing options to include Lithoz’s patented technologies. With the newly installed CeraFab System S65 industrial system, MTC engineers will be able to produce complex geometries from a variety of high-quality ceramics.

“We are very excited to use Lithoz’s advanced CeraFab system to push the boundaries of ceramic additive manufacturing in areas such as energy technology and defense,” comments Sherry Ghanizadeh, Senior Research Engineer at MTC.

Lithoz CEO Dr. Johannes Homa is delighted to be joining the MTC community: “There is a very active ceramics industry and research in the UK. We look forward to driving the latest innovations with our industry-leading 3D printer technology.”

Both organizations will be present at the upcoming Advanced Ceramics Show in Birmingham. There, Lithoz will present the “Ceramic 3D Factory” – a solution designed to take additive ceramic manufacturing to a new level of serial production.
