LuxCreo has introduced the new EM 1K-H and EM 1K materials. These have been developed to significantly improve the prototyping and production capabilities of 3D printed damping applications for consumer applications.
The two materials, EM 1K-H and EM 1K, are designed to significantly improve the prototyping and production capabilities of 3D printed damping applications. They are particularly beneficial for areas where individual damping, durability and user comfort are critical. In addition, these unique, single-component materials offer a longer pot life, and uncured resin can be reused, giving manufacturers greater control over their facilities, waste volumes and production schedules.
EM 1K-H is an industry-leading one-part functional elastomer. It features fast compression, high energy efficiency, stretchability and resilience, delivering exceptional fatigue resistance and tear strength suitable for both prototypes and final products. Remarkably, EM 1K-H and EM 1K have met stringent EU REACH SVHC standards and have passed important skin sensitivity tests.
While EM 1K-H is designed for durable cushioning applications with impressive tear strength and an elongation at break of 387%, EM 1K offers a cost-effective, higher modulus alternative for sportswear components such as custom printed insoles. It is the most cost-effective production-ready DLP elastomer on the market, enabling footwear brands to produce cost-effective insole solutions that offer optimal performance without compromising on compliance.
The material innovation is complemented by access to LuxCreo’s Smart Factory Production Services. This service provides flexible production capabilities that enable efficient development of end products from digital 3D models, regardless of volume. The consistent and high yield in LuxCreo’s printer fleet illustrates the transformative potential of smart manufacturing in the current industrial landscape.
