Multitrade 3D Systems becomes official reseller for MX3D in Africa

Multitrade 3D Systems and MX3D, a provider of robotic WAAM technology, announce their partnership. Multitrade 3D Systems will become the official distributor for MX3D solutions in the Sub-Saharan African market.

MX3D has made a name for itself by developing intelligent and user-friendly robotic WAAM technology. This technology has fundamentally changed the additive manufacturing of large metal objects. With the introduction of the first dedicated Robotic WAAM software in 2019, MX3D has improved the flexibility, speed and cost-efficiency of metal 3D printing. The progress continued with the introduction of the turnkey M1 Metal AM system, which enables fast WAAM adoption and the production of high-quality, medium- to large-sized metal parts.

The M1 systems offer a complete solution for WAAM technology, integrated with MetalXL, MX3D’s dedicated WAAM workflow. These systems have advanced features to increase productivity, including automatic calibration, dynamic sensors, real-time operator feedback and high-resolution data logging.

Multitrade 3D Systems will focus on establishing a supportive ecosystem for MX3D’s Robotic WAAM technology in the Sub-Saharan Africa region. This includes fostering partnerships and business opportunities in collaboration with technology centers, engineering companies, robot integrators, academic institutions and industry stakeholders.

Dr. Devon Hagedorn-Hansen, Managing Director of Multitrade 3D Systems, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: “We are excited to partner with MX3D and offer a solution for large-scale metal additive manufacturing. The MX3D range allows us to offer solutions for companies in various sectors in Africa such as the mining, oil & gas, and manufacturing sectors that are struggling to source large metal parts locally. Moreover, MX3D’s technology provides a dedicated tool for WAAM integration from design to print, fulfilling a critical need in the local and Sub-Saharan market.”

The partnership aims to promote the adoption of MX3D’s Robotic Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) technology. Multitrade 3D Systems will provide customers with proof-of-concept, equipment installation, training and support services.
