Farsoon introduces FS350M-4 metal 3D printer with four lasers

The Chinese manufacturer Farsoon has introduced a new metal 3D printer, the FS350M-4. The unique selling point is four parallel 500W lasers, which Farsoon claims will ensure high productivity.

The FS350M-4 uses a laser beam melting process. Farsoon claims the build volume is 433 x 358 x 400 mm. By using four lasers, components can be printed much faster than with individual lasers.

However, Farsoon uses 500W lasers here, while other manufacturers sometimes already use 1kW lasers. Nevertheless, according to Farsoon, up to 2 kW of laser power can be applied to the powder bed. Overall, the FS350M-4 is positioned in the middle of Farsoon’s metal 3D printer lineup.

The 3D printer was first unveiled at TCT Asia, but in November Farsoon will also be on hand at the Formnext trade show to showcase the product innovation.
