Flashforge announces new Guider 3 Ultra industrial 3D printer

Flashforge has introduced the Guider 3 Ultra, a new 3D printer for production use. The device from the Guider series is designed for 24/7 operation.

At 330 x 330 x 600 mm, the printer has a massive build volume and enables the production of large-format objects in the fully enclosed build chamber. Two extruders allow the use of water-soluble support structures for complex geometries. The printing speed reaches up to 500 mm/s with an acceleration of 20,000 mm/s².

Flashforge promises a material throughput of up to 2 kg per day at a maximum extrusion rate of 32 cubic centimeters per second. An automatic leveling system, TBI ball screws for the Z-axes and a three-second quick-change system for 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 mm nozzles ensure precision and efficiency.

Special features include integrated HEPA air filtration, two sealed filament drying chambers and advanced cooling for high printing speeds. Control is network-based and supported by camera functionality and sensors such as filament monitoring and heat tracking.

The 3D printer is suitable for use with a wide range of engineering materials such as nylon, carbon fiber reinforced plastics, solvent resistant ASA and high temperature materials up to 350 °C. Software compatibility with common slicers such as Cura or Slic3r enables a wide range of materials and parameters to be selected.

Details such as a process to compensate for extrusion fluctuations and a vibration control system promise high print quality. With a specified dimensional accuracy of ± 0.15 mm, the Guider 3 Ultra is said to be suitable for applications with precisely fitting assemblies.
