Ingram Micro Increases Focus on 3D Printing in Europe

Ingram Micro has created a dedicated 3D printing and scanning division in Europe, which will be led by Rudolf Ehrmanntraut, senior manager, 3D Printing and Scanning, Europe. He will set up a European Competence Center and drive the company’s continued expansion in this space.

This announcement follows the initial success that Ingram Micro has enjoyed in the 3D printing space in Europe. Ingram Micro’s portfolio now consists of products from leading OEMs including 3D Systems, Leapfrog and German RepRap. With this increased focus, Ingram Micro will now look to expand its offering and competencies. A European Competence Center will offer training, support and pre-sales support for its many resellers across Europe who will be looking to take advantage of this opportunity to expand their offering to end users.
