New 3D Printer Network: Print a Thing

Print a Thing is a platform for 3D printer owners and 3D designers to connect, similar to 3D Hubs or Makexyz.

“We built Print a Thing in the hopes that it would be a positive force for startups, do-it-yourselfers and creative spirits everywhere”, the creators of the marketplace write. While users of other 3D printing marketplaces have to look for suitable providers in the network, Print a Thing takes over this process for you and also provides the 3D printer owner with instructions for printing and shipping. All the communication between supplier and designer is handled by them. Additionally, the platform offers a service for volume production, where order are split and distributed among the providers to speed up production.

Currently in beta, Print a Thing offers ABS and PLA materials for prints and is looking for supplier to sign up to their marketplace.
