The Polish manufacturer Pirx3D has launched its steel-framed, high quality FDM 3D printer PIRX one. The stylish desktop device features an automatic leveling system for the heated bed. Therefor it is equipped with a sensor that measures the bed’s position in three different spots and forwards the captured information to the printer.
The FDM printer can process a wide variety of materials such as ABS, PLA, Laywood, Nylon and Ninjaflex to create objects with a maximum of 210 x 270 x 210 mm in size. Users have the possibility to directly print from an SD card or via USB connection. The device is capable of printing with a precision of 10 microns and a layer hight between 30 and 50 microns.
PIRX3D’s priority during the design process was to create a 3D printer that “would be as trouble-free as possible”, almost as easy as using a TV.
The 3D printer can now be preordered for € 1.200 including and € 1.000 excluding heated bed. First deliveries are expected in early March 2015.
