3D printing company Caracol opens another facility in Italy

Caracol, the large format 3D printing (LFAM) provider, announced that it is opening a new facility near Milan, Italy. This brings the number of Caracol facilities worldwide to four.

The focus is on technological development and a customer-centric approach, which recently led to the opening of new facilities near Milan and the modernization of the ISO 9100 certified LFAM production plant. In addition, the North American headquarters in Austin, Texas, was inaugurated last year. With the opening of a new office in Dubai for the GCC area, Caracol now has four global locations.

“Achieving this milestone today is truly rewarding for our team. It is a step forward in expanding the possibilities of Large Format 3D Printing and working towards our vision for the world of industrial manufacturing,” says Francesco De Stefano, CEO & Co-founder of Caracol. “Our Italian facilities are the heart of our global operations, and this expansion will further enable our team, partners, and clients to succeed in adopting these technologies and pushing towards a new paradigm in production.”

Caracol has opened two new facilities: A technology assembly and testing facility for the Heron AM platforms and an innovation center for research and development. These facilities work on the integration of technology and processes, from material testing to software, hardware and automation.

“Our work is centered around the needs our customers have in manufacturing parts and applications. Opening these state-of-the-art facilities will allow us to further grow on delivering top quality, reliable, technological solutions, made for production,” says Paolo Cassis, COO & Co-founder of Caracol.

The official opening on February 1, 2024 was attended by partners, customers and executives from industrial production and 3D printing worldwide. The success stories of Caracol’s partners underline the enormous potential of LFAM technology for industrial production by bringing efficiency, flexibility and sustainability to the manufacturing process.

“Seeing partners and clients Caracol has had the pleasure to work with over these years join us from all over the world to celebrate this milestone was truly extraordinary. Our success is only possible because of the fantastic people and companies we have the pleasure to work with every day”, stated Francesco De Stefano.
