Amazon Offers Customisation of 3D Printed Video Game Characters

Amazon and Sandboxr teamed up to enable customers to design their favourite video game characters from Smite, Primal Carnage and Infinity Blade.

The 3D Printed Products Store features a “Personalise Now” widget that allows you to customise more that 35 of your favourite characters, resulting in a millons of unique design combinations. Once you have defined your character by choosing a pose, design, weapon or accessories, Sandboxr will 3D print it on one of 3D Systems’ ProJet machines and send it to your door step.

There is a lot of passion and excitement in the culture of gaming, as well as 3D printing, and by combining these two worlds and allowing customers to design and personalize their favorite video game characters we can bring enthusiasts even closer to the games they love,” said Steve Johnson, Director for the Amazon Marketplace. “3D Printed Products on Amazon is still in its early days, and we are eager to offer customers the freedom to be designers and create one-of-a-kind items.”
