It is one of the most exciting moments of expecting parents, when they actually see their little one on the screen during an ultrasound examination. Baby:Boo now went one step further and offers future moms and dads 3D printed replicas of their unborn.
Founded by Katie Kermold, the UK-based 3D and 4D Baby Scan Studio focuses on non-diagnostic ultrasound scans to provide parents with an “unforgettable bonding experience”. Based on the scans, they have started to offer 3D printed life-like replicas as a keepsake.
“People do think it’s a little odd but it’s similar to creating casts of babies’ feet or hands. It’s actually a really lovely keepsake to cherish”, Katie explains.
