EOS to showcase its Additive Manufacturing (AM) solution portfolio at TCT Asia + Personolize in Shanghai

EOS, the global technology and quality leader for high-end Additive Manufacturing (AM) solutions, is showcasing its Additive Manufacturing (AM) solution portfolio at the TCT Asia + Personalize show debuting in Shanghai March 12 to 14, 2015. At their booth D 26 EOS will highlight their latest systems, materials and applications, among them the latest Polymer system EOS P 396 and the latest Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) systems EOS M 290 and EOS M 400. All systems meet customer demands, and support the shift of AM from a mere Rapid Prototyping towards a true production technology. The booth will highlight parts that were manufactured on these systems.

Jack Wu, Regional Manager Greater China at EOS stresses: “Over the last few years we have experienced a strong growth in the industrial Additive Manufacturing sector and expect this trend to continue in the future. Today, EOS has an installed base of 93 AM systems in China that tripled over the last four years.” And he continues: “In China, manufacturers start to appreciate, depending on the application, the capabilities of AM as a true alternative to conventional manufacturing processes. They begin to acknowledge the benefits the technology can bring to their business and their competitiveness through innovative design and manufacturing solutions and e.g. the impressive cost reductions it enables. In China, aerospace applications are currently the key drivers for AM, followed by applications from the medical and tooling sector.”
