“Huge” Pellet 3D Printer From South Africa excites Johannesburg Decorex 2016

The inventor Hans Fouche presented the new version of his Cheetah 3D printer in Johannesburg.

With the Cheetah Hans Fouche presented some large prints like this 3D printed acoustic guitar. The new version brings an even larger build volume with 1x1x1m which is you can upgrade two 2x1x1m or even 3x1x1,5m. To keep the cost down the Cheetah 2 uses pellets instead of filament. Hans achieved a price of 4$ per kilogram.

The Cheetah 2 uses a standard 3mm nozzle with a flow rate of 0,5 kg/h. The nozzle can be changed to a 1mm to an 8mm nozzle. The basis model of Cheetah 2 comes at 9.800$.
