The software manufacturer JETCAM International has announced the release of its CAD Splitter software. The application is now available free of charge as a standalone version to all customers with an active maintenance contract for the Expert solution. Previously only available as part of the JETCAM Orders Controller (JOC) premium package, the CAD Splitter is designed to increase performance for users.
According to Martin Bailey, General Manager at JETCAM, the free provision helps customers to optimize processes and increase efficiency. The CAD Splitter provides a quick way to split individual DXF files with multiple contours into separate component files. These can then be easily imported into JETCAM Expert for further processing and tool programming.
The software is configurable for both sheet metal and composite parts and allows unlimited profile settings. This allows parameters such as layer visibility or file naming to be set individually for each DXF source file. Presets speed up workflows considerably.
Key benefits of the tool include control over layer and output file properties and instant graphical previews. This gives users more flexibility and management of the output data. Overall, the new solution is designed to simplify workflows and improve usability.
