Lithoz establishes technology center for 3D printing of high-performance ceramics in Japan

Austrian ceramic 3D printing specialist Lithoz has brought together a network of established ceramic manufacturers in Japan to create a powerful center for 3D printing technology in this important market.

The partnership includes AS ONE, Mitsui Kinzoku and Yugyōkuen Ceramics – three leading Japanese companies. “It’s fantastic to see investment in the Japanese 3D printing market. We see huge potential here, and building such a strong network of leading companies will certainly lead to great achievements for additive manufacturing,” explains Lithoz CEO Dr. Johannes Homa.

The partnership is strategically important for Lithoz. By working with the Japanese partners, the company can expand its “Ceramic AM Factory” into this key market.

As a technology supplier, Lithoz will provide its LCM process, founded in 2011, which will be at the heart of the new center. The partners AS ONE, Mitsui Kinzoku and Yugyōkuen Ceramics will take over production as contract manufacturers.

AS ONE, one of the initiators of the network, will work closely with the other partners. The planned division of labor is intended to optimally serve the Japanese market and effectively promote the expansion of the 3D printing sector in Japan.
